As always Christmas is coming far too soon and so many of us are rushing about… But do stand still for a minute or two in the morning or at the end of the day and take in the fantastic red skies.
Here in the countryside, we are blessed with the most amazing sunsets and at sunrise, we recently had equally spectacular displays. I am reminded of being told as a child in Germany that this was ‘the angels baking for Christmas’.
Amongst the many festivities at this time of year I highly recommend the Christmas markets and late-night shopping events with singing around the Christmas tree and fireworks even as seen above at Dulverton by Starlight last Sunday (every first Sunday in December). This is a chance to support local trade and see local crafts and pick up the odd present as well as tasting mince pies, mulled wine and local food.
As I write our Thatch Cottage is still available for Christmas and New Year. Have a look at our Special Offers Page should you feel like a cosy time away in our lovely cottage.
We all at Anstey Mills Cottages wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, healthy and peaceful 2023!
