Last weekend was the perfect preparation for Christmas. Max and Leo were home with friends and we had our own autumn short break walking the dog, eating out and as well enjoyed cooking together, eating, sitting around the fire and playing games. Saturday we went to the ‘Lost Kitchen’ near Tiverton, just round the corner from National Trust’s Knightshayes and treated ourselves to woodfired pizzas. Sunday’s walk led throught the colourful wooded valleys of the rivers Danesbrook and Barle. Despite short light showers this was ideal to set us up for our evening in front of the wood burner playing cards.
Why don’t you come and stay in our beautiful cottages? There are Christmas markets and many seasonal events like Dulverton by Starlight this coming Sunday …much to enjoy!
